That's great Jason - looking forward to getting another sports/social media guy up here in the DC area! While all of my clients are currently government-related, I've always had a place in my heart for the world of sports. We'll have to grab a drink sometime once you're all moved in! Welcome to the neighborhood!

@Jennifer - Thanks, I'm loving it already!

@PRC - good call. Looking forward to meeting up one of these days.

@Dan - I agree 100%. Thanks for your note. I'll be back in NC for WordCamp in May (if not earlier) so maybe I'll see you then

"They’re fine with people working remotely as long as the work gets done and is quality."

That is awesome. Not many companies have that mentality. Why pay for expensive office space when nearly everything can be done offsite. Workers have to commute through traffic, worry about lunch, parking, etc. I had an employer complain when workers worked from home after a snow storm. They might have been able to drive in, but they'd spend an extra hour just trying to get there and then have another difficult drive home later. I don't care where an employee works as long as they get work done and are productive.

Hate to see you leave NC, but good luck up in DC.

Good luck with the move. NYC is now only a quick train ride away for more sports + social media events.

Welcome to the neighborhood! DC is an interesting place full of diversity and even creativity (not just politics).
