Upcoming Sports Marketing 2.0 Events

picture-11.pngI just wanted to let you know about a couple Sports Marketing 2.0 events that are coming up soon. The Sports Marketing 2.0 summits are educational events designed to help sports marketers learn how to leverage digital media to enhance fan experiences and earn more money. Summits are open to sports teams, governing bodies, sponsor brands, university athletics, interactive agencies and technology providers working on the Web, email and mobile sports marketing initiatives.

I attended the first event in New York at the beginning of this year and enjoyed discussing new ideas and meeting new people. If you’re curious about this stuff and would like to learn more and have some meaningful discussions with some smart people, I encourage you to check out one of these events. I’m going to try to attend one of the following events, if I can work it into my schedule.

Los Angeles Summit - September 10, 2008

The discussion will take place on club level at Dodger Stadium, overlooking the field. Panelists and special guests will include executives from companies such as EA Sports, LA Lakers, NFL.com, Tribune Media and Yardbarker.com. And after class, there will be cocktails and dinner in club lounge.

New York Summit - October 16, 2008

This event will take place at the Sports Museum of America and include discussions with leading digital media gurus from companies such as IMG, NBA.COM, ESPN.com and Takkle.com. There will be cocktails and dinner following the event.
