2009 has been a breakout year for sports and social media. Athletes, teams, leagues, coaches, media and sponsors have finally started to take note of how social media impacts sports and fans. There have been some really great executions and ideas as well as some missteps.

Sports Biz Feed – The ultimate sports business blog resource
Between work, play, and grilling out as much as possible, there’s barely enough time to stay informed on what’s going on in the sports business world. In addition to trusted resources such as SportsBusiness Journal, I rely a lot on blogs to stay on top of things and get others’ opinions about sports business news and trends. However, checking a bunch of sports business blogs each day can be pretty time consuming.
In the spirit of The Ad Feed comes Sports Biz Feed, a site which aggregates the popular sports business blogs in one place so you don’t have to check a bunch of different blogs to stay informed. The site includes post titles and the first few sentences of recent posts from 10+ influential sports business blogs. If you want to read more, you can click links which will take you to the blog and post of your choice. If you don’t see anything interesting, you’ve saved time by not having to visit each blog just to find out you don’t want to read it. You’ve got better things to do than check a bunch of blogs each day, so why not let Sports Biz Feed be your personal sports business blog nerd and do the work for you.
You’ll notice I’ve included a link for Sports Biz Feed in the sidebar. For all you Squidooers, there’s the Sports Biz Feed Squidoo Lense, which is a slimmed down version of the main site (the lense only includes post headings, instead of the first few sentences of new posts).
Let me know if you find Sports Biz Feed helpful and if you have any suggestions for how to improve it.

Jason,
I think the sportsbiz feed is a great idea and you have really have something useful However, I demand better placement. I realize that you may have it set up now by alphabet, but for friends, I should be higher on the page where folks can see me better. You know, right next to Cuban. I mean, come on, who needs Berger’s radio blog anyway.
Good luck with it – It’s a great concept that should be very useful.

Mark,
Thanks for the feedback. The site is still very much in its infancy and the design definitely could be tighter. Once we build some traffic we can hopefully make it look nicer and add some more features. Anyways, thanks for stopping by.
